This episode was highly unstructured, which could have ended in disaster, but I think Oriraji et al. made it work for the most part.
In terms of the "michi to no sogu" segment, I think Shingo-kun is of the "roman" type, while A-chan is of the "my way" type.
By the way, A-chan has a tendency to announce through Twitter his appearances on Arashi ni Shiyagare on the day of taping, and I always think, "Isn't that supposed to be a secret???"
